Dr. Juanita Woods, a University of North Georgia (¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ) associate professor in the Mike Cottrell College of Business, was selected as the 2023 recipient of the Project Management Institute (PMI) Linn Stuckenbruck Teaching Excellence Award in October.

The award, which was presented during the PMI Global Summit in Atlanta, Georgia honors faculty members for outstanding contribution in teaching project management, and for their commitment to improving and enhancing project management curricula in higher education.

"I am honored to have been awarded the PMI Linn Stuckenbruck Teaching Excellence Award at the PMI Global Summit," Woods said. "I want to recognize the support of my colleagues and students, because without them, this would not be possible. "

Among her academic achievements is "Delivering Value with Project Management," an open-source textbook on project management, developed by Woods and co-writer Scott Marshall, ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ associate chief information officer.

Since 1974, PMI has honored organizations and project professionals whose passion, talent and expertise have made the greatest contributions to project management and PMI. The celebration showcased winners of the PMI Professional Awards, Chapter Awards, Academic & Research Awards, and the Kerzner Award in front of their peers and PMI leadership.
