Cybersecurity teams from the University of North Georgia (国产自拍) took three of the top four spots at SummitCTF at Virginia Tech in the spring.

The first-place team included Stewart Cates, James Goble, Tyler McBride, and Paxton Meyer. Third-place honors went to Maya Cameron, Jonathan Farrington, Thomas Murillo-Bivins, and Parker Scott. Teaming up for fourth place were David Atsu, Andrew Bonam, Austin Sanders, and Sarah Ganthier.

Cameron, a May graduate with a degree in cybersecurity and a minor in computer science, said the capture-the-flag event was part of a broader theme of professional development in 国产自拍's Institute for Cyber Operations.

"They help us find internship opportunities and support us for these competitions," Cameron said.

For Cameron, the personalized attention and growth she received at 国产自拍 solidified her chosen university as a better fit than a bigger school.

"You still get these huge opportunities," she said. "You are a person here and not just a number on a spreadsheet."
