The ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ provides eligible students with access to a comprehensive and competitively priced  . 

¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ strongly recommends that students carry health insurance. However, this is an optional recommendation for most student populations. Students who are required to have health insurance will be notified by their program representative.

These current populations are required to have health insurance:

1. Graduate Assistants receiving a full tuition waiver or fellowship
2. International Students (F or J visa status)
3. Doctor of Physical Therapy and Post Professional Doctor of Physical Therapy Students

Students in mandatory enrollment categories who wish to waive the student insurance plan must meet specific insurance coverage requirements. Read more about the requirements here:

To request a waiver, students will click on “waive coverage” and follow the prompts on this link:

All other student types and graduate programs are exempt from this requirement unless otherwise notified by their program representative.

• Enroll in SHIP:
• Payment:
  • Students in one of the required categories above will have the SHIP insurance automatically added to their ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ fee bill unless they waive the coverage.
  • Students, not required, but opting into the insurance will make payment directly to the SHIP insurer at time of enrollment.
